Who are you?

You will be a great communicator and able to speak and understand the languages of ‘Client’, ‘Strategist’, ‘Coder’, ‘Creative’ and ‘Database geek’ – and create clarity between them.

You’ll be organised and love to get into the detail of things; probably the kind of person who not only matches their socks after doing the laundry, but orders their sock drawer too!

You will know how to tactfully nudge a project along to keep things on track – with colleagues, partners and clients.

You will already have a couple of years experience working on digital projects and will probably have cut your teeth in a digital agency.

You will undoubtedly have entrepreneurial spirit and recognise that the world is whatever you make it.


What does the job entail?

You will own your projects from start to finish. They will be like your pets and you will do everything to make sure they’re as successful as they can be.

You’ll lead planning meetings, take briefs, create schedules, manage assets, maintain budgets, analyse outcomes,  track impact… and think about how to do it better next time.  Everything that hopefully you already know makes a great project manager.

Copper runs a LOT of email campaigns, so you should already have an excellent understanding of what makes an effective email campaign. You’ll ideally have already built great email campaigns within an ESP using HTML and CSS.

We also manage social media content, run acquisition campaigns, create web platforms and other fun stuff which will help keep things interesting.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketing student who wants to get hands-on experience in an agency.

Ideally we’re looking for someone who can work one day a week and we’re flexible on which day suits the best.  We’re also flexible on how long you stay but would like you to be able to initially commit to at least three months.

Your day will be spent split between internal admin, to help keep everything running smoothly and assisting the team with client work. This might include research, uploading content to websites, data work in Excel and a wide range of other activities.


  • Able to manage your own time to complete tasks assigned to you.
  • Good phone manner
  • An excellent understanding of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • An understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques would be useful
  • The above and an interest in charities would be even better

We’re looking for someone for a short term contract who can produce email campaigns and landing pages, helping us deliver intelligent and effective digital campaigns for our clients.

From September we’ve got lots of work on and are looking for someone who has excellent coding skills but wants to gain more experience in an agency environment building and get some hands-on experience of building email and web campaigns.

Your day-to-day role will be creating, designing, and sending email marketing campaigns through various Email Service Providers(mostly Silverpop Engage, Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor). You’ll also be responsible for building landing pages in different CMS platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build emails in html from approved creative
  • Updating creative assets in Photoshop
  • Uploading, querying and transfer of data files
  • Proofing, scheduling and broadcast campaigns including setting up split tests
  • Running post-campaign reports
  • Communicating with clients and internal project managers keeping them up to date on their projects


You will have:

  • A pro-active work ethic
  • An impeccable eye for detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with changing priorities
  • HTML and CSS expertise(essential)
  • A good eye for design and ability to use Photoshop
  • Ideally experience of working with email broadcast tools(such as Silverpop Engage) and/or Content Management Systems
  • A good understanding of web design and development processes

The role would ideally suit someone junior but we’re equally happy with someone experienced, especially if they had good knowledge of IBM Silverpop’s Engage.

You will ideally be available to begin at the start of September and work until the end of October. Salary will be dependent upon experience and platform training will be provided.

The role will involve working directly with clients; delivering digital projects from end to end, with a main focus on supporter development and communications.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead digital fundraising and marketing campaigns across a broad range of channels, including email, web, social media, display advertising and mobile
  • Day to day management of a portfolio of clients, as well as taking responsibility for growing revenue
  • Use your technical skills to both advise on and implement projects – specifically email campaigns
  • Identify, propose and implement new projects to meet and exceed client expectations and ROI
  • Work with and manage external freelancers and partners
  • Drive client strategy and advise them on how to achieve their goals in the most effective manner
  • Support the directors with new business acquisitions and on-boarding of new clients
  • Ensure that the agency delivers an outstanding and quality service on time and to budget


You will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience within a client services, production or project management team within the digital and/or fundraising sector

  • A good understanding of web design and development processes
  • An appreciation for creative work (visual and copywriting) and the ability to visualise and present ideas internally and to clients

We are looking for someone who can help us create and implement amazing digital campaigns for our clients.

You will most likely be working in an agency or an in-house digital team co-ordinating digital campaigns but want to start having more input and responsibility. You have a passion for digital marketing’s role within the marketing mix and can confidently promote this to clients.

At the moment we’re a small agency with big ideas so you’ll have a great opportunity to help shape our future direction and grow with the company. Our work focuses on helping clients(many charity) acquire and develop customers, supporters and members through digital channels such as email, online and social.

As we’re a small team we’re all quite hands-on and there will often be situations where your production role will spill over into implementation so experience in actually doing digital work will go a long way.
